How to Travel to India Safely?
Up-to-date information about travelling to our retreats in India — clearly, openly and without embellishment.
We understand that current events in the Middle East may raise questions for you. That is only natural, and we are glad you ask.
Your safety comes first for us — above any retreat. No grand promises. Just facts and care.
Current Situation
as of 25 June 2026
A ceasefire has been in place since June 2026
Following the peace agreement, the situation has calmed. Iran is motivated not to escalate further, and the same pressure applies to the American administration.
Our nearest retreats depart several months from now — Rishikesh in November 2026, Kerala in January 2027 and Goa in February 2027. Air traffic in the Persian Gulf region has returned to normal operation.
You have a choice of several routes
Traditional flights via the Middle East (Dubai, Qatar) are considered safe — and they are even cheaper. Airlines are competing with perks: free overnight hotels, extended insurance.
Alternative air routes also exist — take a look at them below.
.
Verified Air Corridors
The route to India does not pass over the areas discussed in the news. Sensitive areas are bypassed via a verified, safe corridor.
Route safety is decided by
Aviation and security authorities — including the European agency EASA
National authorities of individual countries
The airline itself, which bears full responsibility for every flight
If a corridor is risky, it is simply closed and flights are rerouted or cancelled. Nobody will “accidentally send you” through an active zone.
“An aircraft never flies through airspace that has been assessed as unsafe.”
That is the principle air travel rests on every single day, whatever is happening in the world.
What if the situation worsens?
If the situation were to worsen to the point where travel would not be appropriate — the airline cancelled the flight or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a warning — you will not lose your money and you will not be left to deal with it alone.
We will offer a transfer to an alternative date without penalties and help you rebook your ticket with a different carrier or route.
We want you to look forward to your journey with peace of mind.
