Debaki Sewa Nepali

My name is Debaki Sewa Nepali. From the age of eight I helped in my family’s Thangka shop near the great stupa of Boudhanath in Kathmandu.

Every day I met people from all over the world – from Europe, America and China. I loved chatting with them and listening to their life stories.

After each such meeting, I felt as if I had travelled to their country too – my world grew bigger. Or, put another way, it was as if the whole world came to me here, in Boudha.
